May 11 - PNet 4: Last Chance to Upgrade

Suncorp has asked us to remind all PNet customers to complete their upgrade to Version 4 as soon as possible. Please read on for details.

"As you are aware, all mass brands (Suncorp, GIO, AAMI and APIA) go live on the 27th May. Any repairer not upgraded to use the new PNET4 by this date will be unable to do new business with these Suncorp brands. You will be required to use the new PNET web user interface instead until you upgrade your package.

Please call the PPG help desk as soon as possible if you have not already upgraded to Pnet 4"

Rollout Schedule and Key Milestones

1.       National PNET4 package upgrade roll-out deadline extended from the 1st April 2011 to the 29th April 2011. This is the date that we expect all repairers who use a quoting package that integrates with PNET3 to be upgraded to use the new PNET4 interface. This will be a drop dead date after which we will be turning off the PNET 3 web services and the PNET 3 web site.  If a repairer has not been updated to PNET4 by this time they will not be able to use their package to submit quotes or invoices electronically which may impact the ability to interact with the Suncorp Group in an efficient manner. Repairers will be notified of the extension to the rollout,  and that if their package is not upgraded by this date, then they must use the PNet 4 web site instead of your package

2.       On the 27th May, the business will start lodging all new claims for all mass brands (Suncorp, GIO, AAMI, APIA) for all states in ClaimCenter – so all NEW claims from this date will have a claim number that starts with M and will only be processed via the new PNET4. Also, all message IDs, Quote Request Numbers etc for new messages, Quote Requests, Manual Quotes etc for NEW claims will be alphanumeric (ie., at least 1 character in the messageID). Existing claims will continue to use the legacy numeric formats through PNET4.

3.       During the period from the 29th April to the 26th May, only APIA Victoria claims will be being lodged into ClaimCenter and have a claim number that starts with M. All claims for other brands (Suncorp, GIO, AAMI, APIA Non-Victoria) will still be being lodged into legacy systems and will have legacy claim numbers (in most cases numeric).
During this period:

    a.       Suncorp and GIO claims will continue to be processed through ARNIE (with legacy claim numbers)

    b.       AAMI and APIA Non-victoria claims will be processed through the new PNET4 (with legacy numeric claim numbers)

4.       From the 27th May onward:

    a.       any existing on-going jobs for Suncorp and GIO handled through ARNIE will continue to be processed through ARNIE until the job is closed and invoiced. Once these are completed, ARNIE will no longer be used for the Suncorp and GIO Personal Insurance claims.

    b.       any existing on-going jobs for AAMI and APIA handled through PNET will continue to be supported through the new PNET4 interface.

    c.       there will still be at least one of our Niche brands (Just Car Insurance) that will continue to have legacy claim numbers that will be processed through the new PNET 4 interface. There is another project underway to move these brands onto to ClaimCenter sometime towards the end of this calendar year, after which they will have claim numbers that start with M and use the new features of PNET4.

    d.       there will still be some Commercial Insurance claims (Suncorp, GIO, Vero and AMP) that will continue to be processed via ARNIE for some time.

 Running the Upgrade

There are three steps to the upgrade process:

1) Download an  run an “all-files” update using this link:

http://updates.ppgaccess.com.au/BM_All_PNET4.exe

See below for details if you are unsure of this step.

Please also note that, because all Business Manager customers should all be runing the latest software, the link above is identical to our standard web update (BM_AllFiles.exe).

2) Download and read the documents at this link:

http://www.ppgaccess.com.au/News/Latest/Feb1-PNET-update.html

to familiarise yourself with the changes to the item types and quoting methods now used for PNET.

3) Set up new item types in Business Manager using the documents you download in step 2.
