PPG to distribute Thatcham repair methods in ANZ |
|
PPG have announced that they will be the ANZ distributor for subscriptions to Thatcham Repair Methods via WWW.THATCHAMNET.COM.
The THATCHAMNET.COM web site contains data from Thatcham, an independent U.K. based, not for profit organisation, established in 1969, as a dedicated resource to provide a range of products and services to assist all those involved in the repair of accident damaged vehicles.
As vehicle design has become more complex so have repair requirements. Today, the collision repair industry needs a reliable source of information, such as the identification of the latest vehicle construction materials (including high strength steels and aluminium), welding and bonding techniques and specifications, as well as other specialised knowledge. While in the past, access to this type of information has been difficult and costly to obtain, THATCHAMNET.COM provides an excellent solution by making safe and proven repair methods available via a cost effective subscription based website. Many repairers are concerned that they can’t access the information they feel they need to properly repair late model vehicles, especially those with aluminium and high strength steels components.
By establishing this relationship with Thatcham, PPG are trying to provide the ANZ repair industry with a cost effective source of information of repairing modern vehicles.
Although PPG is managing the subscription process, subscriptions to THATCHAMNET.COM are available to any Panel shop regardless of the paint they use.
